500 gr. of beef mince
500 gr. of pork mince 1 onion, finely grated 1 egg ½ cup of bread crumbs 1 cup of full cream milk ¼ teaspoon white pepper 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons butter garlic (optional – my brother introduced garlic into my family home when I was 12. He had just returned from a trip to Italy and lots of other exotic places on the continent! It was not an immediate success with my parents...) |

Cooking Instructions | ![]() |
Soak the breadcrumbs
in milk, then add grated onion, meat, white pepper and salt and mix
thoroughly until smooth. Shape into small balls (roughly 12-14 grams
each), using table spoons or hands dipped into cold water. Fry in
butter or oil on medium heat until browned on all sides and cooked
through. Take care not too crowd the pan and shake it continously to
make the balls round. |
Serving Suggestions | ![]() |
Serve alone or as a
meal with a cream sauce, mashed potato and lingonberry jam. Buon appetito! |
